“Where rural roots meet real talk.”

Meet the Voice Behind Rooted Relations

Hi, I’m Madyson Eliza Hurst, the founder and voice behind Rooted Relations. I’m a Sam Houston State agriculture communications student, set to graduate in Fall 2025 with an emphasis in agribusiness, and a lifelong advocate for agriculture in all its forms.

I was raised on Texas soil, shaped by cattle ranching heritage, and somewhere along the way I fell in love with chickens, small towns, and the stories that grow from the ground up. Recently, I married my best friend, and together we’re building a life rooted in faith, family, and the kind of work that matters.

Rooted Relations was created with a simple purpose: to give rural voices the platform they deserve. Whether I’m writing copy, designing a campaign, or spotlighting a family-owned business, my heart is in telling honest, compelling stories for farmers, ranchers, ag start-ups, and small-town dreamers.

From classrooms to pastures, airports to press rooms, one thing has always stayed true: the strongest connections are made when we stay grounded in our purpose—and always rooted in our values.
